Child safety standards
Last updated 22 September 2026 · Hua Hin, Thailand
These are the published standards of conec.io (HuaHinApp) against child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”), including child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”). This page is public. You do not need an account to read it.
Published 28 September 2026. The Service operates from Hua Hin, Thailand. Contact hello@conec.io and put “Child safety” in the subject line.
1. We do not allow CSAE
We prohibit child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of anyone under 18, child trafficking, and CSAM on the Service. The ban covers messages, photos, videos, profiles, reviews, events, business listings, chat, and meetups.
The following are prohibited, including when someone calls it fiction, a joke, or “educational”:
- CSAM, or any link, request, or instruction for finding it.
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18, including drawings or generated images made for a sexual purpose involving a child.
- Grooming a child, or asking anyone under 18 for sexual images or a sexual meeting.
- Sexual exploitation of a child, child prostitution, or trafficking of a child.
- Asking, threatening, or helping someone else to do any of the above.
2. This service is for adults aged 18 and over
Creating an account requires you to be at least 18. Children do not get their own accounts, and this app is not directed at children. A parent may store a child’s name, sex, and age on a parent profile only so events can show which child a meetup suits. The parent confirms they are that child’s parent or legal guardian. Those details are not a way to contact a child, and they must not be used to find one.
3. How we reduce the risk
- A new account confirms an email or a phone number and accepts the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Profiles ask for an age, and the product rejects an age under 18.
- Members can block another person in meetups and chat. A block hides each person from the other.
- Admins can suspend an account. A suspended account cannot sign in.
- We do not sell children’s data, and we do not use a parent-profile child record for advertising.
4. How to report
Report immediately if you see CSAE or you suspect it. You do not need a police report before you tell us.
- In the app, the home screen has the button “Have you found an issue on the Conec app? Click here to report it to the Conec Team”. Describe what happened and where. That form emails hello@conec.io and keeps a copy for admins.
- Or email hello@conec.io directly. Use the subject “Child safety”. Include a link, the account name, and enough detail for us to find the content. Do not attach CSAM to the email.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local police or the emergency number first, then tell us.
5. What we do when we learn of it
Child-safety reports are handled ahead of ordinary product reports. When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM we will:
- Remove the content from the Service.
- Suspend the accounts involved.
- Keep the account identifiers, timestamps, and report details needed for a referral to authorities, without staff opening the material beyond what is required to make that decision.
- Report it to the Royal Thai Police and to any other authority the law requires, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline when that is the right channel for the material or for distribution on Google Play and the App Store.
We comply with lawful requests and court orders. We do not tip off the person concerned when doing so would interfere with an investigation.
6. Laws that apply
These standards sit under Thai law, including offences on the sexual exploitation of children and the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (as amended), and under the child-safety laws of the countries where the app is distributed.
7. Who is responsible
The operator of conec.io is responsible for these standards. hello@conec.io is the contact for CSAE reports, for questions from Google Play or Apple, and for requests from authorities. We review this page when the reporting path or the process changes.
