Terms of Use

These Terms of Use, also called Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), govern your use of conec.io and the HuaHinApp web app, including the home-screen (PWA) version (together, the “Service”). The Service is built for people living in or visiting Hua Hin, Thailand. By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box at signup, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The Service is operated from Thailand. Contact: hello@conec.io. These Terms are written in plain English. They are not a substitute for legal advice.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old. If you add details about a child on a parent profile, you confirm you are that child’s parent or legal guardian and that the details are accurate. Accounts are personal. Do not share your login or pretend to be someone else.

2. The Service

conec.io helps people in Hua Hin meet neighbours, find local businesses, collect loyalty stamps and vouchers, join events, browse parent resources, request service callbacks, and look at partner property listings. Features can change, pause, or be limited by plan (for example loyalty stamp cards are Premium-only for businesses).

Listings, events, prices, opening hours, and property details are provided by members, businesses, or partners. We do not guarantee they are complete or still true. Always check with the venue, organiser, or developer before you pay or travel.

3. Your account

You give us a name, email, and WhatsApp / mobile number, and you may add photos, nationality, age, sex, a bio, interests, and children’s names, ages, and sex. You may also sign in with Google, Apple, or LINE. Those companies then send us the name, email, photo, and account id you allow on their screen — not your password with them. You are responsible for keeping that information honest and for anything done from your account. We may ask you to verify email or phone. We may suspend or delete an account that is abusive, fake, commercial spam, or that breaks Thai law. You can disconnect LINE (or Google or Apple) from Profile, or email hello@conec.io to close the account.

4. Meet-ups and “out now”

Turning on Out Now asks the phone or browser for location permission. We use that GPS reading only to name a nearby area, such as “Near Soi 94”. Other people do not see your coordinates or a live pin. Sending a meet request, chat, or appearing as out now is your choice. Treat strangers as you would in any public place in Hua Hin. We are not a party to meet-ups and are not responsible for what happens in person.

5. Businesses, vouchers, and stamps

Business accounts must be approved. Printed table and t-shirt QR codes stay unique. Staff scan guest QR codes to stamp or redeem. Vouchers and stamps have their own terms on the listing. A voucher is a commercial offer from that business, not from us. We are not liable if a venue refuses a deal, is closed, or changes a promotion.

6. Property and services

Property pages show partner developer listings. Extra property enquiry terms apply when you tick that form. Service callbacks share the number on your profile with our desk so we can phone you. We do not give legal, tax, visa, or mortgage advice.

7. Acceptable use

Do not harass, scam, post illegal content, scrape the Service, upload malware, or use it to advertise without a business account. Do not stamp or redeem QR codes you did not earn. We may remove content or accounts without notice if we believe they break these rules or Thai law, including the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (as amended).

8. Your content

You keep ownership of photos, reviews, event copy, and listing text you upload. You grant us a licence to host, display, and store that content so the Service can work in Thailand and on our hosting providers. Do not upload photos of other people, or of children, unless you have the right to do so.

9. Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may send service messages, meet alerts, and admin-approved community updates to that device. You can turn this off in Profile or in your phone settings. Allowing notifications is optional and separate from accepting these Terms.

10. Paid plans

Some business listing plans and boosts may be charged in Thai baht. Prices and limits are shown in admin and on the business dashboard. Refunds, if any, follow the plan description at the time of purchase.

11. Liability

The Service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed under Thai law, we are not liable for meet-ups, venue quality, lost stamps, failed notifications, hosting outages, or third-party sites (maps, WhatsApp, Google, Apple, LINE, app stores). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that Thai law does not allow us to limit, including fraud or injury caused by our gross negligence.

12. Changes and ending the account

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new Terms. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@conec.io. We may keep records we must keep under Thai law (for example fraud or billing).

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Courts in Thailand have jurisdiction, including the courts serving Hua Hin / Prachuap Khiri Khan where the dispute can be heard there. If one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
